WHO WE ARE:

Siblings Kate and Dan Wetherall have combined their talents to create a new hot spot in Kampot. What's Hot in Kampot is a wine bar, tour company and retail store that opened its doors in September 2009. Located only a short walk from the central traffic circle, What's Hot in Kampot offers a one stop shop for travelers looking for information or just to sit back and relax..

WINE BAR:
The wine bar has been designed to make customers feel right at home with lots of comfortable seats and friendly faces waiting to greet you as you walk in the door. The menu offers a range wines to suit every taste.
There are also traditional French cocktails, a selection of spirits and a range of cold beers. As you sit back and soak up the ambience, you can treat yourself to a cheese platter or freshly made dips. If you’re not in the mood for a drink, simply drop in and have a chat while chilling out to some cool tunes.

TOURS:
Kampot might appear quiet and sleepy on the outside but it is packed full of great attractions. Situated at the base of the majestic Elephant Mountain Range, Kampot is rich in French Colonial and Chinese heritage.
Kampot is also the gateway to Bokor Hill Station and the beaches and islands of nearby Kep. What’s Hot in Kampot can help you arrange a visit to Bokor Mountain or a cruise on the river, but best of all we offer our own unique tours to suit individual needs. Come in and chat to Dan about finding a waterfall, taking a moto tour or a visit to Kep that takes you off the beaten track.

RETAIL:
What's Hot in Kampot is committed to supporting the local community. Hanna Guy houses a  local training project called DORSU upstairs from the What’s Hot bar, which is also home to the retail store.  DORSU is a Cambodian word that means “the effort a person makes while the odds seem consistently against them”. The proceeds from sales allow families to sustain a higher standard of living and support the Chumkriel Learning Centre.

What's Hot also utilizes the sewing ladies from Dorsu to create its own label TIC - This is Cambodia, which offers one off pieces to suit our fancy, using salvaged fabrics that are sourced locally, making each design a unique piece.

We also sell items from other projects including a limited selection of handmade scarf’s and wallets from KeoKjay an alternative fashion house providing employment for women living with HIV/ AIDS in Cambodia. Smateria products are also on sale – Smateria is a design house that creates bags, accessories and home decor items from recycled or pre-purposed source materials –all made by local craftsmen and women in line with fair trade principles.
